dc.description Project (M.A.)--Humboldt State University, Sociology, 2007 en
dc.description.abstract In 2005, the Humboldt County Red Cross Chapter offered me an internship with their organization. My responsibility entailed starting a Red Cross club at one of our local high schools and preparing a manual for future Red Cross efforts to work with local youth. This work was informed by evaluation data on disaster preparedness education and training. In addition, I worked with Humboldt State University staff to evaluate a community emergency response training program, developing a survey instrument and developing a report. en
