Title: Education coach to support students with intellectual disabilities in a community college course
Author: Zeppegno, Marci Anne
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop a model that would provide more options for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a postsecondary setting. Surveys of special education teachers and administrators who work with students with intellectual disabilities revealed that options are limited for these students after high school. A model was developed using an education coach to support students with intellectual disabilities in a community college course, and an example of how this model can be applied in a course is also included.
